A 90-day warranty on every unit

Every drone, camera and gimbal we sell carries a 90-day warranty. It covers the unit continuing to do what our inspection said it does. If something we tested fails in normal use within 90 days, contact us with the unit’s serial number and we will confirm the next step with you.

What the warranty covers

The warranty covers functional faults that appear in normal use: the things on our inspection checklist for that product line. In practice that means faults such as:

  • a drone motor, gimbal, camera, video link or sensor that stops working properly
  • a camera body whose autofocus, stabilization, shutter, screen, viewfinder, card slot or port fails
  • a gimbal motor, battery or control that stops working
  • a unit that does not work when it arrives

If a unit arrives in clearly worse cosmetic condition than its grade, tell us when you unpack it and send photos.

What the warranty does not cover

  • Crash, impact or drop damage, including drones lost in flight or that fly away
  • Water, liquid, sand or corrosion damage
  • Cosmetic condition that matches the grade the unit was sold at
  • Normal battery wear: capacity falls with use, and that is not a fault
  • Units opened, repaired or modified by anyone other than us, including non-standard firmware
  • Propellers, filters, cases and other wear parts
  • Units held, seized or refused at import, or used where the law does not allow them

How to make a warranty claim

  1. Send us the serial number of the unit and your order reference at [email protected].
  2. Describe the fault and, if you can, send a short video showing it. For a drone, a screen recording of DJI Fly showing the warning helps.
  3. Wait for our reply before sending anything back. We look at the evidence and confirm the next step with you. Please do not ship a unit to us until we have agreed where and how.

What happens after a claim

The remedy depends on the fault and on where the unit is. It may be a repair, a replacement unit or a credit against your next order; we agree it with you case by case. We do not publish fixed return terms or return freight rates, because we do not have a standard figure that would be true for every country we ship to. Ask before you order if you need this settled in writing.

Whose warranty is this?

This warranty is given by nivon (Jiaxing Nianbao Trading Co., Ltd.). It is not a manufacturer’s warranty, and manufacturer service plans bought by a previous owner may not carry over to you. It runs between us and the buyer named on our invoice. If you resell the unit, the cover you offer your own customer is your decision.

Questions about the warranty

How long is the warranty?

90 days, on every graded unit, at every grade.

Does the warranty cover crash damage on a drone?

No. Crash, impact and water damage are not covered, and neither is a drone lost in flight. The warranty covers faults in normal use.

Who pays the shipping on a warranty return?

We have no fixed rule or rate for this yet. When you make a claim, we confirm the next step, including shipping, before anything is sent back.

Are batteries covered?

A battery that will not charge, or that is swollen when it arrives, is covered. The normal loss of capacity that comes with use is not.
